Skiing fun in your skiing holidays with your family in Hoch-Imst – the small, but nice ski area with its gentle slopes and observable terrain is the ideal ski mountain for young and old leisure skiers. In particular famlies, who come to Austria for skiing, appreciate the children-friendly ski area and the varied offer. Ambitious skiers too, get their money’s worth: At the Alpjoch, the second section of the Bergbahnen Imst, one cannot only enjoy a dreamlike view, but one or the other “black slope” as an extra. Despite there being reliable snow conditions from December to March, lift lines are unheard of.
Off the tracks too, the region offers plenty. There is hardly a winter sports discipline that cannot be pursued in Hoch-Imst. Two natural toboggan runs are to the delight of all who want to race down on skids, in additional there are a cross-country skiing track, an ice rink and a sheer unlimited number of possibilities for ski mountaineers, snowshoe hikers and winter hikers.

The family-friendly Hoch-Imst region in the Tyrol is a rewarding destination excursion destination for families and pleasure seekers, both in the summer as well as the winter. The highlight is doubtlessly the Alpine Coaster Imst, the on-track toboggan run which is open all year. You can get to the Imster Bergbahnen in an environmentally friendly way by taking the ski or hiking bus. If you want to get there by car, there are two large car parks. Just around the corner, there are the first two highlights and insider tips: the bathing lake and the Family Park. You can get up the mountain in a sporty fashion using your own muscle power or comfortably and conveniently by taking the new, spacious 10-seater panorama gondola lift.
Hiking, biking, trail running, orienteering and climbing are among the most popular activities in the summer and can also be tackled by families from the grandchildren to the grandparents. Quaint huts are ideal for taking a break and enjoying culinary delicacies. The crowning finish: a ride with the legendary Alpine Coaster Imst, the world’s longest alpine roller coaster. Once the mountains and the treetops are covered in white, the two natural toboggan runs are serious contenders for the fastest downhill run. Just like one of the longest floodlit pistes in the Tyrol, the toboggan runs are also open in the evening on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Ski mountaineers, winter hikers, cross-country skiers and ice skating fans too find opportunities in Hoch-Imst.
